Where Faith, Food and Life Converge

Don’t you love that when Spring arrives, things that seem like CHORES the rest of the year are actually enjoyable?  For instance, this week I got outside and washed weeks’ worth of of grime off my car, AND I weeded.  Ask me in the middle of July if I’m still excited about these tasks, but for now, it was positively thrilling to get my hands dirty weeding the flower beds.  Call me crazy, I know, but there’s something so primal about the feel and smell of warm dirt between your fingers, something so Godly, if you will.  I may not be the best or most consistent gardener or yard worker in the world, but at least I appreciate the aesthetics of a weed-free garden/flower bed or clean car.  Not to mention there’s always that satisfaction of a job well done, knowing hard work paid off.

I hope the weather outlook for your week is a good one, but even if it’s not, here’s to a wonderful Easter week!
