Where Faith, Food and Life Converge

Truth-Newton

Raise your hand if you’ve you ever felt inundated, confused and distracted.  If you could see me right now, you’d probably see me jumping up and down waving my hands violently like I’m stranded on a desert island and need rescue.

No.  Not really.  I mean, no, I’m not jumping up and down waving my hands, because then I wouldn’t be able to type these sentences.

But yes, in some ways I’m stranded on a desert island and need rescue.

We all do.

We all need to get off our own personal island of things to do and “it’s all about me” and be rescued from our self-centeredness by a God that can handle every little bit of it. Every leaky pipe, every surly child, every cancer diagnosis, every relationship problem, every car repair, every overwhelming problem at work…

ALL of it.  Every single thing we can comprehend, God can, has, and will take care of it.

So often when things overwhelm us, there’s too much going on in our heads for us to hear God’s promise loud and clear:

John16-33

Distractions?  Unable to make sense of it all?  Doubt?  Not sleeping?  Unsettled in your stomach, spirit or heart?   SO not the truth…

Unwavering peace?  That’s TRUTH.

May this week be one of certainty, peace and truth for you.  Cast all your doubts aside and rest in the One who is greater!  Blessings!
