Where Faith, Food and Life Converge

Mondays

Raise your hand – do you get more excited by Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays than Mondays?

Yeah, I figured.

Me too.

There’s a reason the Bangles wrote a song called “Manic Mondays,” the Mama’s and Papa’s sang “Monday, Monday,” “Rainy Days & Mondays” by the Carpenters is stuck in our heads, and the Boomtown Rats had a hit with “I Don’t Like Mondays.”

Mondays are a letdown after a couple glorious days of unwinding, doing what we want to do instead of what we have to do. Rather than the craziness of weekdays, it’s spent relaxing with family and friends.  Maybe like me, you try new recipes, reorganize your closet,  or cozy up somewhere reading. Most weekends I spend a good chunk of time reading, both in print and on the Internet. Some of what I read is pretty fascinating, delicious, or  even thought-provoking. And so  I’d like to share these things with you…

I mean, one of my favorite things about spending time with friends and family is what I learn from them!  Whether it’s a great recipe, way of dealing with a health issue, an interesting article or book they recently read, a blog post or video that inspired them, I love discovering what interests, excites, or challenges them.

Because sometimes Mondays are just BLAH, consider these Monday, Mondays as my way of offering you something to make the start of your week just a little bit sunnier!  And please, if there’s something you’d like to share, by all means, let me know!
