Where Faith, Food and Life Converge

Monday Mondays 6.19.17

As this gets published, I’ll be driving to the big city – the REALLY big city – to get my teeth cleaned, get my haircut and go to a funeral. That’s a list, huh?

The friend that died was in my German class in high school, dated my high school best friend after college and then again after her divorce.  He was a gentle soul.  He put the gentle in gentleman.  He died waaaay too young, even younger than his father, who also died suddenly of a heart attack.  Sometimes life just isn’t fair, is it?

Anyway, I’m glad that it worked out the my teeth cleaning appointment was scheduled for the big city on the same day that his 2nd memorial service was to be held in his adopted hometown.  I’ll be able to say my condolences to his sisters in person, rather than just on Facebook.

This is all rather rushed, but here is my list of things old and new I came across this week.  Enjoy!
